These unique culinary experiences are customizable, available on most excursions, and can also be enjoyed as part of standalone dining events.
Gourmet “Picnic” Options
Locally sourced, beautifully presented, and served in nature’s dining room.
Our gourmet picnics are a signature Rockwood touch—designed to elevate your experience–whether beside a serene lake, under a forest canopy, near a flowing river, in a historical Botanical Garden, our “picnics” are an excellent way to truly savour the moment. Especially popular from May 15th to September 31st.

Set up includes:
First Nation themed tablecloth, cloth table runner, cloth napkins in napkin holders, fine steel cutlery, stoneware plate, glasses all set up by the Guide.
Menu includes (Vegetarian & Vegan Options Also Available):
- Roast free range chicken sandwich with aioli, grilled red peppers, Gouda cheese and arugula on a baguette.
- Brie cheese with grapes
- Local Dessert bar
- Chef-made chocolate chip cookie
- Sparkling and still filtered water

Gourmet Family Platters
Like a “Pop Up Restaurant” in a beautiful outdoor setting in the forest.
Includes: all set up and take down,“hot towel” service with Server(s), stoneware, glassware, First Nations themed table setting; serving platters, tablecloth & table runner, cloth napkins in napkin holder, fine steel cutlery, ceramic plates glasses and ceramic mugs, live flower centre pieces.
